AI House Davos 2027 · 18–22 January

Davos, where we set the course for the year.

Every January, during the week of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, AI House opens its doors in Davos. For five days, the people building, studying and governing AI work through the questions that will define the year ahead.

Our theme for 2027

Citizens of an expanding world

AI has never been debated more loudly or built faster. Beyond the headlines of salvation and catastrophe, it is redrawing the map of who discovers, builds and leads. In 2027, AI House brings together the researchers, founders, investors and policymakers, to discuss four fundamental ideas:

Discovery

Major advances in medicine, robotics and fundamental science are within reach.

What can we discover together that no one could discover alone?

Work and learning

AI is changing how expertise is built and value is created, and the feared collapse of entry-level work has not materialised.

How will people learn, earn and lead when software does more of the work?

Power and interdependence

Compute, chips, energy and even orbit have become matters of national strategy.

Who will control the infrastructure of intelligence, and can countries build it together on their own terms?

Autonomy and security

AI now trades in markets, defends and attacks networks, operates in conflict and helps build its own successors, often faster than any human can step in.

When AI acts on its own, what keeps it secure, accountable and worth trusting?

Three formats – one agenda

  • Four panellists on high stools in front of the red AGI Night wall, one gesturing as he makes a point while the others turn to listen

    Panels

    setting the agenda in public

More than 20 panels, each bringing together four voices from different sectors in front of a live audience. All panels are recorded and published on YouTube.

  • A breakfast roundtable in a bright room, plates, cups and laptops on the table

    Roundtables

    turning it into real work

More than 25 sessions with up to 12 experts under the Chatham House Rule. Each is designed to end with a clear outcome.

  • Guests in conversation at a breakfast, one of them smiling, another holding a cup

    Mornings, evenings and the lounge

    where the unexpected happens

Content-led breakfasts, evenings and an open lounge, because some of the most useful conversations happen between sessions.
